The winds were hard south all day long and the swell just continued to crank without letup. We had perfect waves all day long. There was plenty of close-outs and sections, but if you were fearless and had the energy to paddle non-stop you probably had the session of a lifetime today. Personally my arms no longer function. It was an amazing day and this has been an amazing season.

Whenever we get a NW swell, most of the spots break with a lot more power and steeper face than other swell angles. Whenever the period is 13 seconds or more, we start to see some barrels. When we get NW swell and a 13 second period it goes off! The super high tide was making for some challenging surf, but everyone was going for broke. It was awesome to watch and I tried my best to capture this morning’s session. My guess is that the afternoon low tide is going to make for some epic conditions today.
