Rincon, Puerto Rico Surf Forecast – Sept 25, 2018 https://rinconsurfreport.com/surf-forecast/rincon-puerto-rico-surf-forecast-sept-25-2018/ Tue, 25 Sep 2018 18:41:25 +0000 https://rinconsurfreport.com/?p=15852 More surf for Rincon, Puerto Rico.

Looks like more surf for Rincon!

The NE fetch over most of the North Atlantic will continue to throw swell at Puerto Rico over the next several days. Depending on how things develop with Leslie’s remnants and other weather out there we may see the surf persist for another week or so. Because NE isn’t a straight shot for Rincon, expect bigger conditions on the north coast of Puerto Rico. That being said, we should at least continue to see some waist to chest high surf most days. North coast spots should easily be overhead. It’s good to surf again!

Rincon, Puerto Rico Surf Forecast – Sept 18 2018 https://rinconsurfreport.com/surf-forecast/rincon-puerto-rico-surf-forecast-sept-18-2018/ Tue, 18 Sep 2018 14:20:25 +0000 https://rinconsurfreport.com/?p=15848 Possible surf for the weekend in Rincon.

Flat and then possible weekend surf in Rincon.

Take a break for the time being. We had a fun little run of swell last week and It was great being in the water again! Unfortunately we’re going to be a bit on the flat side for the next few days. Rincon should remain great for surf lessons and small children at least. The north side of the island should continue to see some chest high surf and clean conditions in the mornings. A surface trough should keep the winds light SE in the mornings before the onshore everywhere winds of the afternoon sea-breeze. The good news is that the remnants of Florence should blend with a decent cold front and we could see a fun cold front swell as early as the weekend. It’s a good sign that we might have an active and early winter season.

Rincon, Puerto Rico Surf Forecast – Sept 5, 2018 https://rinconsurfreport.com/surf-forecast/rincon-puerto-rico-surf-forecast-sept-5-2018/ Thu, 06 Sep 2018 01:10:38 +0000 https://rinconsurfreport.com/?p=15813 Doing the happy dance - surf is on the way!

Surf is on the way for Rincon, Puerto Rico!

Florence got big and strong pretty quick. Fortunately, she climbed high enough and is forecast to stay far away from Puerto Rico. She is also forecast to move west of Puerto Rico. The ideal scenario from my previous forecast is playing out. I hope the forecast track sticks. A storm that big right in our swell window but far away from land is ideal. Parts of the island will already have some swell starting tomorrow – namely, the most exposed breaks on the North, East, and Southeast coasts of Puerto Rico. Rincon will have to wait a few days before the angle can reach around and hit our beaches. Saturday might be the first day Rincon sees some action. Next week looks like it will be going off the entire week. Don’t get too comfortable though. There is more tropical action and it’s unknown how it will affect Puerto Rico late next week and next weekend. Make sure you’re prepared.
