Daily Rincon Surf Report - Comments

Winds: Calm right now but they will pick up more later on today.
Water Temp: 79º F
Air Temp: 72º F right now with a predicted high of 83º F for the afternoon.
Honestly, this morning comes as a bit of a suprise and a major disappointment for me. Judging by the sets that started coming in last night around sun-down, I thought this morning would be pretty good. Somehow it's gotten smaller, choppier, and more inconsistent. Spots closest to the tip are the biggest but only in the waist high range with the occasional chest high set. Tucked away spots on the south are almost completely flat. I guess we need to give it a little more time and maybe in the afternoon after the tide change it'll be good. I just hope the winds are more East than Northeast later so the south side will be clean.

1:30pm UPDATE

Slow and steady increase should keep up through the day and get bigger closer to dark. North side is small and choppy. The south side is suprisingly super glassy at tucked away spots and clean at spots closer to the tip of rincon. Granted the winds may change at any time for the worse - any bit of north and it's all over. As of now it's looking fun on the south and is waist to chest with occaisionally bigger sets.

Rincon, Puerto Rico (PR) Wave Forecast

Swell is supposed to continue to build all day. It's supposed to build through tonight / tomorrow morning where it will peak out and fade into the weekend. So far no wind fest, but once the frontal boundary passes it may turn the winds on a lot stronger. Right now they're looking ENE which is good for the south side. Let's hope they don't get more north as the swell really starts coming in.
