Fridday, January 2, 2009 (1-2-09) 7:30am Avg Size: Chest High Biggest Wave Seen: 2ft Overhead Winds: Calm right now but they'll pick up in the afternoon. Water Temp: 78º F Air Temp: 72º F right now with a predicted high of 84º F for the afternoon.
A beautiful morning! Perfect waves pretty much everywhere on both coasts. South spots closest to the tip of Rincon are the biggest, but there's plenty of waves everywhere. Tucked away south is the smallest right now but it should be building all through the day.
5:00pm UPDATE
Slight drop in size this evening. The afternoon winds really did a number on the waves. It's bumpy everywhere except for the tucked away south. It's about waist high everywhere except for the spots closest to the tip of Rincon on the south, which are still about waist to chest high with about a thousand people. Tomorrow will pick back up though and peak out by tomorrow night.

Now this is the Puerto Rico everyone loves! Solid swell through to next week with Saturday being the biggest and seeing some double OH+ sets. Smaller leftovers through the week to take us to the next coldfront next weekend. It's early to say, but it's looking very impressive on the forecast models so far and could get pretty big next weekend as well. Great time for surfing puerto rico!
