Hurricane Nicole moved into the North Atlantic and just sat there dumping swell all throughout the Atlantic. Her windfield was quite large and her pressure was plenty low for an extended period of time. Even after going extratropical she setup a pattern that would continue to dump long period swell at PR for several days. A developing Tropical System sat very close to our island so we had a lot of rain and south wind. The north facing beaches in Rincon were on fire! The lighting was challenging but the wave conditions were so perfect. This gallery features some of the amazing surf here in Rincon that resulted from this major swell event.
